Services

Well drilling & pump service in south Georgia.

From the drill rig to the filter on the wall.

Full service list

Every part of the water system.

Confirmed work from Superior’s own page and posts: drilling, pump service, tanks, filtration and small pumps for the land.

01

Water well drilling

Superior runs its own drill rig out of Omega. A new well here is usually drilled down through layers of sand and clay and finished in the limestone of the Upper Floridan aquifer, cased and sealed so surface water can’t run down the outside of the pipe. How deep we go depends on what the ground under your property does, and the drill log tells us when we’ve reached good water.

  • New wells for homes, farms and property
  • Replacement wells
  • Drilled, cased and sealed to Georgia’s water well standards
  • Pump, tank and wiring set to finish the job

Drilling books up months ahead. Call early to get on the schedule.

Well pump repair & replacement

Our service department stays running even when the drilling calendar is full. We find out whether the trouble is the pump, the pressure switch, the tank, the wiring or the well itself, then repair or replace what’s failed. That covers submersible pumps down the well and above-ground jet pumps.

  • No-water and low-pressure calls
  • Submersible and jet pump replacement
  • Pressure switches and controls
  • Pumps that run constantly or cycle on and off

Pressure tanks

A worn-out or waterlogged pressure tank makes a pump start and stop over and over, which wears it out early. We size and install the right tank for the house or the property, from a standard bladder tank to the big galvanized tanks on older systems.

  • Bladder tank replacement
  • Large-tank change-outs
  • Tank sizing for the pump and the household
  • Gauges, valves and fittings at the wellhead

Water filtration & iron removal

Plenty of south Georgia wells deliver water that’s safe to drink but hard to live with: orange stains, a rotten-egg smell, grit in the fixtures. We install and program filtration systems, including iron separators, and service the ones you already have. The fix starts with knowing what’s in the water, so we’ll tell you what to test for first.

  • Iron separators and iron filters
  • Sediment and sand filtration
  • Help with sulfur and rotten-egg odor
  • Service and programming for existing systems

Pumps for land, plots & outbuildings

Not every well job is a house. We set up small pumps and water systems for hunting land and food plots, gardens, livestock and shops, so the water is where the work is.

  • Food plot and deer land pumps
  • Garden and outbuilding water
  • Shop and barn hookups

Well checkups & disinfection

If a well has been under floodwater, has sat unused, or the water suddenly changes color, smell or taste, don’t drink it until it’s been tested. We check the wellhead, pump, tank and controls and can disinfect the well when it needs it. Then a lab test confirms the water is good.

  • Post-storm and post-flood checks
  • Well disinfection (shock chlorination)
  • System check before buying a home
  • Wellhead caps and seals

Drilling vs. service

The rig is booked. The service trucks aren’t.

New wells go on the drilling calendar, which fills months ahead. Repairs, pump and tank replacements and filtration run through the service department on their own schedule. In their words: “WE ARE STILL FULL FORCE WITH OUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT so don't hesitate to call for repair and pump replacements.”

No water?

Check one breaker, then call.

Check the well pump’s breaker. If it’s tripped, reset it once. If it trips again, leave it off and call (229) 886-2733. Never open the pressure switch, the pump control box or the wiring at the wellhead: they’re live at 240 volts.

Water changed?

Don’t drink it yet.

If your well has flooded, or the water suddenly changes color, smell or taste, don’t drink it until it has been tested. Use bottled water and follow your county health department’s guidance.
