Home base. Our office is at 7138 Hwy 319 N, right here in Omega.
Omega is where Superior Well Drilling keeps its office and its equipment, on Highway 319 North. The town grew up around the railroad in the late 1800s, when it was still called Surrey, and today most of it lies in Tift County with a sliver in Colquitt. For a well, that county line matters: the permit and inspection go through the health department of the county the property sits in, not the one on the mailing address.
Under Omega, wells are drilled down through sand and clay to the limestone of the Upper Floridan aquifer. Georgia’s own geologic survey notes that the depth to that limestone can change by tens of feet over a short distance, and that across the southern part of Tift County the limestone can sit much deeper than it does elsewhere in the area. That’s why we don’t quote a well depth off a neighbor’s well. The drill log decides.
Most of the calls we get close to home are the everyday ones: a pump that quit, a tank that’s waterlogged and making the pump chatter, or water that’s turned orange or started to smell. Being minutes away helps on all of them.
Services in Omega

No water, low pressure, a pump that won’t shut off: our service department diagnoses it and puts it right.
Tank change-outs, large and small, so the pump stops short-cycling and the pressure stays even.
Sand, rust, iron and sulfur smell: filtration systems installed, programmed and serviced.
Small pumps and water setups for deer land, food plots, gardens, barns and camps.
A look at the whole system after a storm, a flood, a long outage or before you buy a property with a well.

Most of Omega is in Tift County, but the town crosses into Colquitt County. The well permit goes through the county health department where your property actually sits; if you’re not sure, your tax bill or the county’s parcel map will tell you, and we can help you sort it out.
There’s no single number. Wells here are drilled through sand and clay into the Upper Floridan limestone, and the depth to that rock varies from one property to the next, sometimes by tens of feet. We go by the drill log on your property, not a guess.
